The New Indian Bride

A bride-to-be with a new perspective on the modern Indian wedding.

TNIB’s Favorite Bride-to-be November 11, 2010

Filed under: Bride to Be Week — The New Indian Wife @ 9:09 pm

The New Indian Bride was a bit sneaky when she first presented Bride-to-Be week.  While, I brought you several of my favorite upcoming and/or recent brides, I saved one of my true favorites until now.  TNIB is extremely excited to introduce you to my friend Rimmi who is walking down the aisle into the arms of  her beloved Ashish this weekend!  Not only has Rimmi been a big fan of The New Indian Bride but she and I have shared parallel paths in our lives.  From good times to bad, many of our life experiences are uncannily similar.  This is why I am so happy for Rimmi that she has found her true love.  I wish this couple only the best and I simply cannot wait to be part of their wedding day.  The jewels are out of the locker, my nails are freshly polished and my suitcase is packed! I am off to partake in Rimmi’s wedding festivities. Buf fear not my fabulous TNIB readers.  I will be tweeting Rimmi’s wedding LIVE at www.twitter.com/newindianbride

Congratulations to the happy couple!

Who better to end Bride-to-Be week with than my fellow blogger Miss Dulhan Diaries.   She is blogging and tweeting her wedding planning journey.  My fellow TNIB readers are going to love what she has to say as she plans a big, traditional Gujarati wedding.  Her journey is beautiful and honest.  You are going to enjoy all that she shares from her inspirations and ideas to her planning heartaches.  Follow Miss Dulhan Diaries on twitter at www.twitter.com/mydulhandiaries or view her blog at http://mydulhandiaries.tumblr.com

Cheers to Miss Dulhan Diaries as we join her on her journey to the big day!

Miss Saphire – A Perfect 10.10.10 October 13, 2010

Filed under: Bride to Be Week — The New Indian Wife @ 9:06 am

It’s Bride-to-Be week on TNIB and you are going to hear a lot more of this next Bride so pay attention! Introducing Miss Sapphire from Sweden.  Miss Sapphire is of Indian decent and she is marrying a Swede.  Since they have family all over the world they are having the wedding in India.  I am just thrilled to announce that Miss Sapphire is going to be blogging all about her her cross cultural, international wedding right here on TNIB.  So get ready to hear from Miss Sapphire between now and her big day!

Miss Sapphire’s wedding celebrations are already underway.  Since being legally married in India as part of their religious wedding would be a logistical nightmare, the couple opted for a civil ceremony in Sweden, which took place on 10.10.10.  By the looks of this STUNNING photograph I am pretty sure Miss Sapphire’s wedding celebrations are going to be a perfect 10!

Cheers to Miss Sapphire, her Groom and all of us who get to follow along on their journey!

Miss Brand New is Now A Mrs! October 12, 2010

Filed under: Bride to Be Week,Uncategorized — The New Indian Wife @ 9:21 am

TNIB is back this week with a feature I know you will love.  This week I am thrilled to bring you some fabulous brides to be!  There is no better place for me to start Bride-To-Be Week then with my wedding planning partner in crime, Miss Brand New!  I wrote all about how we relied on each other as we planned our respective weddings on TNIB back in July.  Revisit that post here: http://thenewindianbride.com/2010/07/29/partner-in-crime/

Well, Miss Brand New married her dashing Groom last weekend in a traditional Mexican wedding.  I tweeted her wedding live at www.twitter.com/newindianbride (a trend I may continue at the next fall wedding I attend).

Miss Brand New was a spectacularly beautiful bride.  She is so darn pretty she would look amazing in a trash bag.  So just imagine how good she looked in her sweetheart neckline, strappless, fitted bodice with cascading ruffles wedding gown!  A picture perfect bride all smiles all night long, just the way a bride should be.

There are so many fabulous details to write about!  Amongst my favorites were the mariachi band serenading female wedding guests, a signature cocktail in honor of the bride – a Karitini and the Sign In book which featured breathtaking images of this amazingly gorgeous couple in various San Francisco locations. But my most favorite detail were the cocktail napkins.  Each napkin was printed with a love quote from the couples’ favorite movies.  So CUTE!

Congratulations to Miss Brand New and her Leading Man! Cheers to a beautiful couple and the start of their life together!
